Antique Wood O’BRIEN’S Shop till. Wonderful large antique mahogany till or cash register measuring 19″ long, 10″ wide and 8″ tall.
Very heavy – approx.. 35 lbs. Finely made with thick dovetailing and rounded corners, till bears a mounted bone plaque on one end marked “O’BRIEN’S PATENT SELF-CLOSING TILL, 30, SLATER ST. LIVERPOOL. NO. 31468”.
Featuring a small glass window with heavy brass trim. The front bears an ornate brass pull handle and the original lock with brass escutcheon- no key, so does not lock. No till roll included.
The pull-out drawer is divided into coin holders and a compartment for notes, held under a brass retainer, the bell rings when the till is opened.
French polished mahogany, in lovely condition dating from early 1900’s.
