A collector’s item, this superb antique swordstick, made from wood, steel, bone and brass. 19th C., around 1890, an identical stick was used in the movie Sherlock Holmes. The hilt is decorated with carved bone, and fastened to the wooden scabbard by a circular brass collar, while the pommel is adorned with a lion’s head. The blade is steel, and marked “INDIA”. The base of the stick is protected by a thick brass ferrule, tipped with steel. 90cm long.
