17 th CENTURY OAK ARMCHAIR.
400 years have left their mark on this Carolean armchair. A sturdy piece, but in need of an owner with the skills to restore it properly.
Dimensions 35 high x 50 wide x 40 deep (inches.)
There have been a few alterations over the years. I believe the back panel has been reduced, or the finials removed. There may have been turned feet at one time., there are some small repairs required, listed below, and please study the photos closely.
Small section of the seat missing by the right hand armrest. (Photo 4)
- Damage to the 2 front feet. (Photos 7 & 10)
- Small cracks to the 2 uprights supporting the back panel (photos 14 & 15)
- The seat also needs some attention, from missing nails to a general clean-up (photos 2, 3, & 9)
